About the District
Our client is one of the largest school districts in the Pacific Northwest, with more than 50,000 students.
The objective of the World Languages Department of the school district is to prepare all students to achieve a Seal of Biliteracy and to take AP/IB World Language.
One of the pillars of the World Languages Department is cultural learning, to develop the ability of their students to view the world from multiple perspectives.
The challenge
Due to the general teacher shortage, the district is facing a challenge in finding well prepared Spanish teachers for their Middle School students.
In addition, these Spanish classes should include a strong Hispanic cultural component.
